The approach

Find the cause, not just ease the pain

Pain that comes back on every run is almost never down to chance. It's a movement, a load, a support that isn't holding.

My work starts by understanding why it gives way: your stride, your history, your training load, the area taking too much. We treat the injury, but above all we correct what caused it — otherwise it returns in the next training block.

Then comes the plan: a gradual, measured return, or a programme built around your goal. No vague "a few weeks' rest" — clear steps you can actually follow.

The care

In practice

Specialty

Running

The heart of my practice. Tendinopathies, shin splints, knee or hip pain, IT band syndrome, stress fractures — from diagnosis back to the trails. A runner myself, I know how frustrating "easing off" feels: we build a plan that keeps you moving.

Measure

Dynamometry

Objective measurement of muscle strength with a handheld dynamometer. We measure instead of guessing: we quantify the deficit at the start and prove progress at every stage — a real green light for return to sport.

Analysis

Running analysis

Slow-motion video capture of your stride in real conditions. We identify what overloads the joint that hurts, then adjust — cadence, foot strike, core stability.

Hands

Orthopaedic manual therapy

Hands serve twice: to diagnose — testing the joint and tissues to pinpoint what's stuck — then to treat, releasing restrictions and pain. Alongside active work, never instead of it.

What is orthopaedic manual therapy?

Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT) is an advanced specialisation within physiotherapy. Recognised and governed by IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists), it specifically targets the management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions: joint, muscle and nerve pain.

It rests on several pillars:

  • In-depth clinical reasoning — the assessment is holistic and seeks the exact biomechanical, neurological and biopsychosocial origin of the problem, rather than treating the symptom alone.
  • Combined approach — it blends advanced manual techniques (joint mobilisations, manipulations) with specific, targeted therapeutic exercise.
  • Evidence-based (EBP) — the treatments and diagnoses applied are backed by the latest scientific and clinical evidence.

Practitioners trained to IFOMPT's strict standards hold high-level expertise for acute and chronic conditions.

Return

Periodised programmes

A structured, progressive return-to-sport plan, for runners and any athlete coming back from injury or surgery. Carefully dosed loads week after week until a full return to your sport — without relapse.

Sport

Sports injuries

Sprains, tears, tendinopathies, low-back pain. For any athlete who wants to get back to their level without rushing it.

No treadmill? Not a problem. The analysis happens in real conditions, outdoors, slow-motion camera — the most representative stride is the one on the ground, not the one a treadmill alters.
